Visiting our clients
Before the visit
For volunteers who are visiting clients, we ask that you decide on a
time that is convenient for you and the person you are visiting:
• Arrange a schedule
• Be punctual and consistent
• If you know that you will be late, call your supervisor
• If you use a cell phone, please ensure that it is turned off
during your visit
• Put on your Baycrest-issued identification badge
• Wear your volunteer T
-shirt if you are a youth volunteer
The visit
Your number one priority is to demonstrate respect, care and
kindness.
• Be consistent. Inform the client when you will be visiting and
how long you will be staying
