Emergency codes It is the responsibility of volunteers to be aware of what to do when an emergency occurs. Baycrest has specific response plans for emergencies. These are called "codes." Each code is denoted by a colour. Baycrest has an internal number reserved for immediate life-threatening and/or safety issues. This number should ONLY be used to elicit a critical emergency response. When any volunteer sees or hears an emergency it is the responsibility of that person to call extension 5555 from any Baycrest phone. Provide Communications with your name, nature of the emergency, location of the emergency and any other pertinent information. Assistance will be given as quickly as possible.
