Baycrest Volunteer Handbook 38 If there is an emergency situation at Baycrest, follow the emergency response plan. If assistance is required during any situation, volunteers should ask a Baycrest employee for help and staff will direct you on the proper procedure. Please remain in your area and await further instructions or until the "All Clear" is announced. All information about the Emergency Response Plans and E mergency Management Program, including additional training, can be found by contacting Security at ext. 2130. Fire safety Fires are the highest risk to a healthcare facility. It is important to be prepared and try to prevent them. If you hear a fire alarm: • Stop all activities • Do not move through the facility unless directed by a staff member or fire department personnel • Stay in place until an "all clear" is heard on the overhead PA System • Reassure your client
