Baycrest Volunteer Handbook 28 You must notify Baycrest at the first reasonable opportunity if BPI is stolen, lost or accessed by unauthorized persons (breach). You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of BPI. Baycrest reserves the right to refuse BPI to volunteers. Photography and Social Media Volunteers are prohibited from publishing, posting or releasing personal information—including photos, audio, videos or textual descriptions — about any Baycrest staff or client, past or present, without their consent, consistent with the Baycrest Privacy, Confidentiality and Security of Information policy. If at any time there may be a breach of patient health information or privacy, please contact the Privacy Office at ext. 6300 or privacy@baycrest.org or Volunteer Services at ext. 25 72. Health and Safety at Baycrest Health and Safety Policy At Baycrest, we recognize occupational health and safety as a vital element in achieving our vision and goals. This is part of a larger commitment by Baycrest to provide and maintain a safe and healthy environment for all clients, employees, physicians, students, volunteers, contractors, and all visitors. • All employees, volunteers and students are responsible for protecting thei r own health and safety and that of others, as well as the safety of Baycrest property • All employees, volunteers and students are empowered to participate in achieving our goals by working safely, wearing personal protective equipment (PPE), following procedures and reporting hazards and unsafe or unhealthy conditions to management • Directors, managers and supervisors are responsible for ensuring tha t employees and volunteers are trained to follow safe work procedures, safe practices, regulations and that safe and healthy working conditions are maintained
