Baycrest Volunteer Handbook 42 Security Your cooperation in matters of security is essential in maintaining a safe environment at Baycrest. It is important to be alert to potential security threats at all times. Ways that you can assist: • Ensure all staff and volunteers are wearing identification badges • Ask the public if they need assistance, especially if they are in non-public areas • Notify Security of any incidents, suspicious people, the fts or other safety-related issues immediately Security officers are available to provide service 24-hours-a-day and can be contacted through locating at ext. 2130. Identification badges All employees and volunteers must wear the Baycrest-issued identification badge and lanyard at all times. Volunteer lanyards have a safety release for volunteers' protection. Badges must be worn at front upper body level, with the picture and name visible to others. Your personal identification number for signing in can be found underneath the photo. Badges must be returned to Volunteer Services upon completion of your volunteer placement. If you lose your identification badge, call Volunteer Services at ext. 2572 immediately.
