WILLIAM E. REICHMAN PRESIDENT AND CEO BAYCREST Welcome to the 2019 edition of Inside Baycrest, which is designed to familiarize you with our organization and locate information and services of value to you, your family, friends and the wider community. Visionary thinkers saw a need and created the Toronto Jewish Old Folks Home in 1918. Not content to rest on this achievement, they and successive generations proudly and ambitiously guided its transformation into the Baycrest of today – a world leader in care, research, innovation and education in brain health and aging. As we begin our second century, we remain true to the principles and aspirations of our founders. We are ever mindful that our experiences and discoveries are relevant and meaningful to families now and in the future, here in Toronto, and far beyond our own campus and community. Our vision: a world where every older adult enjoys a life of purpose, inspiration and fulfilment.
