T H E B R A I N P R O J E C T 2 0 1 9 28 Christoper Konecki is self-taught and constantly experimenting. He is known for completing large- scale aerosol murals, fine artwork including paintings and miniature sculptures, as well as various public and private site-specific installations. His work is explorative of social consciousness, generally irreverent, and focused on subjects that are both serious and absurd. Christopher's use of found and repurposed objects in his work advocates the reassessment of typical ideals of function and beauty. Elements of nature often collide with harsh urban landscapes and elements of street art and graffiti, symbolizing the ongoing struggle between the harmonious co-existence of these two competing monumental forces. PATHWAYS By Christopher Konecki Artist Statement Through the imagery of a mid-Century modern motel, "Pathways" shows the function of the brain. Like any dwelling, the brain can host ideas or kick them out. Healthy neural pathways look like a roadmap — taking thoughts from place to place. SPONSORED BY:
