The Yogen Früz Brain Project brings together a diverse
group of established and emerging artists from around
the world to conceptualize and interpret their thoughts,
ideas and stories about brain health through their art.
Each year, The Yogen Früz Brain Project attracts
a talented array of painters, sculptors, musicians,
broadcasters, influencers, performance artists and
creative thinkers who apply their own unique mediums
to blank brain sculptures and transform them into
striking and thought-provoking works of art that
embody the notion: "no brain deserves to go blank."
Every piece is unique and deeply personal to its creator
and is intended to ignite a conversation about brain
health by the viewing public.
On the following pages, each artist articulates the
inspiration for their original sculpture and what it
means to them. Individually and collectively, these
vibrant, provocative and insightful works of art are
making an impact on people's perceptions about brain
health and raising awareness and funding for the vital
work underway at Baycrest to defeat dementia.
