Financial Support for Staff Development
At Baycrest, we are fortunate to have the support of a
wonderful group of donors who have identified our employees'
learning and development as the target of their generosity.
As a result, staff can access financial support to upgrade
their skills and qualifications through two donor-supported
programs:
Our Tuition Assistance Program, supported by endowment
funds from Baycrest's generous donor community, reimburses
100% of the cost of learning opportunities to a maximum of
$1,000 per person for full-time staff and $500 for part-time
staff each Baycrest fiscal year. Staff can use these funds to
earn a degree or diploma or to enhance their credentials by
taking a course from professional associations or certificate
issuing bodies. In 2019, 46 employees were given a combined
total of $31,000.
