CANADIAN CONSORTIUM ON NEURODEGENERATION IN AGING
The Canadian Consortium on Neurodegeneration in Aging (CCNA), Canada's
largest national dementia research initiative, moved its scientific headquarters to
Baycrest in 2019.
The CCNA plays a critical role in supporting Canada's first national
dementia strategy by bringing together over 300 researchers across
the country to collaboratively investigate various areas of the
diagnosis, treatment and prevention of Alzheimer's and other
age-related neurodegenerative diseases. In 2019, the CCNA received
a $46-million investment from the Canadian Institutes of Health
Research (CIHR) and other funding partners.
