BAYCREST VIEWBOOK 2021 | 73 CENTRE FOR MENTAL HEALTH The Centre for Mental Health at Baycrest has created a mental health website (baycrest.org/mentalhealth) that offers information and encouragement to older adults and families affected by late-life depression and behavioural and psychological symptoms of dementia. DEMENTIA RESOURCES FROM AROUND THE WORLD Dementia Resources from Around the World provides access to a selection of the best available senior-friendly web resources on dementia through a webpage, developed by the Centre for Education. The selected websites provide information on risk factors, signs and symptoms, diagnosis, treatment options, strategies to cope with daily life challenges and available support groups. For more information, visit baycrest.org/education-resources ANNE AND LOUIS PRITZKER WELLNESS LIBRARY The Anne and Louis Pritzker Wellness Library, located on the 1st floor of the Apotex Centre, Jewish Home for the Aged, is an innovative health literacy and information hub. Our goal is to provide a space where clients, residents, families, caregivers, staff and the general public have access to reliable health information to be able to facilitate client-centered education, participate in their own care, or manage a condition or disease for better health. Visitors to the Wellness Library will find a large selection of health information (free brochures, fact sheets and books for loan) developed specifically for clients, residents, families caregivers and community members; access to electronic health resources using up-to-date accessibility features; and custom services such as personalized health information searches. The Library also hosts community education sessions at which Baycrest professionals provide information on a variety of health and wellness topics. Hours: Monday - Thursday 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. For more information, email w@baycrest.org or call 416-785-2500 ext. 3374.
