Specialized inpatient care for the older adult population is offered
at Baycrest Hospital, Ben and Hilda Katz Building. While the Hospital
is non-sectarian, principles of Judaism guide Baycrest in daily
operations and the care of clients of all backgrounds. It is a kosher

REHABILITATION
Thanks to the generosity of the Steinberg Family, Baycrest has two
newly renovated units, which admit patients based on their need for
high intensity or low intensity rehabilitation therapy. In appreciation
of this gift we have renamed the floor "The Charlotte and Lewis
Steinberg Family Rehabilitation Wing."
Our rehabilitation services focus on older adults who have complex
needs due to multiple health conditions, physical impairments, recent
functional decline and cognitive change. Baycrest rehabilitation
services provide goal-directed inpatient rehabilitative therapy
after an acute event or illness, musculoskeletal injury, surgery or
hospitalization, which is key to ensuring that patients can return to
community living.
An application can be sent by the patient's healthcare team in
acute care through the Resource Matching and Referral (RMR)
system or via fax to 416-785-2471.
