Baycrest is a top career destination for individuals in a wide
range of specialties.
As a geriatric teaching hospital affiliated with the University of
Toronto, Baycrest is a training ground for students, providing
internships, fellowships and residencies to professionals and
institutions locally, nationally and internationally. Almost 200
Baycrest staff hold academic appointments.
An Accreditation Canada team that evaluated more than 1,500
standard practices awarded Baycrest "Exemplary Standing"
for meeting a remarkable 99.9 per cent of its criteria. For
three years running, Baycrest has been recognized as one of
Canada's Top Employers for Young People.
Learning opportunities are offered through e-learning, in-class
instruction, rounds and mentoring. Employees can access
specific, individual courses or follow a full program leading to
certification.
