The Yogen Früz Brain Project brings together a diverse
group of established and emerging artists from around
the world to conceptualize and interpret their thoughts,
ideas and stories about brain health through their art.
Each year, the Yogen Früz Brain Project attracts a talented
array of painters, sculptors, musicians, broadcasters,
influencers, performance artists and creative thinkers
who each transform a blank, brain-shaped, three-
dimensional form into a striking and thought-provoking
work of art using the mediums of their choice.
Displayed at a variety of prime locations around Toronto,
these sculptures aim to stimulate conversations about
brain health and ignite people of all ages to take action
to fight Alzheimer's and related dementias by supporting
brain research at Baycrest.
On the following pages, each artist articulates the
inspiration for their original and very personal work
of art. Some of the sculptures are touching, some
are humourous and some are painful, but they are all
designed to motivate people of all ages to think about
their brain health and take steps to stay brain healthy.
