21 # N O B L A N K B R A I N S Dana Korre is a Toronto-based multidisciplinary artist who completed her BFA at OCAD University in 2015. Dana's work primarily focuses on imitating patterns and textures derived from nature while questioning their relationship with the industrial world. Her sculptural pieces serve as visual, three-dimensional studies of various organic materials and her paintings concentrate on detailed observations of elements found within the natural environment. Natural Elements Dana Korre Artist Statement This wood and mineral formation depicts a visual contrast of durability between materials: one represents deterioration and the other preservation. The brain holds precious memories and information that need to be treasured, but the effects of aging can cause them to wither away. In order to prevent this, we must focus on brain health and support research to protect ourselves and our loved ones. Sponsored by:
