Over the past four years, sales of the sculptures, corporate sponsorships
and individual donations have raised crucial funds for Baycrest's fight against
Alzheimer's and related dementias. The Baycrest Foundation is grateful
to title sponsor, Yogen Früz, for its ongoing support of this initiative, which
encourages Canadians of all ages to think about their brain health and take
steps to stay brain healthy.
"This has been a challenging year for the Yogen Früz Brain Project and
for all fundraising initiatives as our focus at Baycrest has been on keeping
our seniors safe, well and engaged during a global pandemic," said Josh
Cooper, President and CEO of The Baycrest Foundation. "To that end, we
are directing the proceeds from the 2020 Brain Project to the Safeguarding
our Seniors (SOS) campaign, which funds critical protective measures
and equipment to safeguard Baycrest residents, patients and staff; and
equipment for clinicians to treat patients via telemedicine, and for patients
and residents to connect with families."
"We're extremely grateful to our artists, donors and sponsors, and everyone
who has visited the exhibits, for inspiring conversations about brain health,
safeguarding our seniors, and helping seniors in the community through
outreach programs and virtual care."
