Artist Statement
Smile encourages people to physically smile. Smile reflects on personal
interactions and uses visual cues to create laughter for people looking at
this art piece. Kim and Park hope this Instagram-able piece will spread
contagious positive feelings, not only from physical interactions, but also
online through social media platforms. Behind all the laughter, they want
to spread awareness that brain diseases can happen to anyone, including
the person looking into the reflection.
