For 20 years, interdisciplinary teams in the inpatient Behavioural
Neurology Unit have found ways to calm patients' agitated and
aggressive behaviour in a compassionate and safe environment.
Baycrest is a leader in this highly-specialized and growing area of
brain disorders management. Five of the unit's 20 beds are funded
by the Ontario government for patients admitted from other nursing
homes overwhelmed by residents' difficult behaviours.
