At Generation Next's "Studio 54" event, Baycrest
supporters travelled back in time to raise more than
$400,000 for Baycrest.
Transported to 1970s New York City, attendees
experienced the thrill of getting past the iconic velvet
rope at the legendary Studio 54 nightclub. The event
was a tremendous hit — tickets sold out immediately —
and featured a live DJ, prizes, cocktails and dancing.
The funds raised were used to purchase Obie
interactive gaming systems for every unit level in
Baycrest's Apotex, Jewish Home for the Aged. Obie
projects images on a table and stimulates active play
with touch and motion.
Generation Next is a motivated group of professional
40- and 50-year-olds who believe in Baycrest's world-
leading dementia research and innovation. The Studio
54 event was the first of their annual Decade Dance
event series.
Stay tuned to find out which decade next year's
event will recreate!
