Baycrest's Defy Dementia podcast team visited Halifax in August, with a public panel discussion, interactive booths and demonstrations. The second annual Mattamy Homes Bike for Brain Health in Support of Baycrest, June 2023 As part of the Women Friends of Baycrest "The Art of Health and Wellness" campaign, guests visited Baycrest to attend the opening night of WOMEN+ CONTEMPORARY: Celebrating Jewish Women in the Arts. The sixth annual Baycrest Charity Golf Classic at Maple Downs Golf and Country Club, June 2023 Hon. Paul Calandra, former minister of LTC (now Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing, Minister of Legislative Affairs and Government House Leader), visited the Apotex Centre in June following the announcement of Baycrest receiving $139,896 in funding from the new Local Priorities Fund operated by Ontario Health. Brothers for Life visited Baycrest in August to meet with Baycrest's Holocaust survivors. The Environmental Services (EVS) team at Baycrest came together to celebrate their outstanding contributions during EVS week in September. Baycrest was honoured to work with From the Depths to host Holocaust survivors and their families to participate in the Survivor Torah Project, in which Holocaust survivors worldwide are getting the chance to restore this Torah scroll letter by letter. Dr. Keri-Leigh Cassidy, Myrna Norman, Dr. Allison Sekuler Baycrest supporters went back in time at Generation Next's "Studio 54" 1970s Decade Dance. The event raised over $400,000 for Baycrest.
