KOSHER KITCHEN PROGRESS REPORT | 2023 4 Resident & Patient Comments Dear all, I have been receiving wonderful compliments about our meals, in particular: spaghetti pasta with meat sauce, sweet and sour meatballs, Shepherd's pie, and chicken in every which way. From our dietitians: Please pass along a 7west rehab patient's compliments to the chef and to all food services staff. Patient said that he enjoyed all the meals provided to him and that he wishes that could eat our food/meals all year round. From the food committee: The following are done consistently well and should be recognized: Fish such as sole amandine, cod tail, baked haddock etc. Sweet potatoes have been roasted perfectly and consistently. Parisienne and the roasted potatoes are appreciated. Blintzes and the burek are good. The cottage cheese plate should be available more frequently. The burgers are enjoyed by all. Other suggestions: Many are asking for cabbage rolls. Last year we had enjoyed briefly roasted root vegetables. Many would welcome it regularly. These were not only healthy but were very tasty. Residents were happy to see the improvement on the beef barley soup. From the Food Services Supervisor: We received lots of good feedback from residents on holiday meals, especially chopped liver was very delicious. Please follow the same recipe (Mince & Puree) for chicken liver on Sep 29th.
