12 One-on-one Digital Literacy: Canva Literacy/Social Media Literacy Shaina Sambahon Canva is a great way to produce digital art. If you want to start using Canva, sign-up for a one-on- one session wherein you can to learn more about it. Drop-in sessions Activity Room B Mar. 24 20 minutes each session Spanish 101 Literacy/Languages Nikita Sankreacha Ready to embrace the Spanish-speaking world and its diverse culture? Each class will start with learning the foundations of the language and will end with an activity/lecture related to Spanish culture. You will learn to use the present tense, explore the relationship between nouns and gender, and practise introducing yourself and talking about likes, dislikes, food, travel, and the days of the week/months of the year. 9 week program, fixed Activity Room B Feb. 1 to Mar. 28 Thursdays, 6:30 - 8 p.m. Yiddish Level II Literacy/Languages Ben Miller In this class we will build on what we learned in Yiddish Level I with a focus on reading more complex texts and listening to multiple forms of media (songs, videos, etc.). The goal of this course is to expand our understanding of Yiddish grammar in order to be able to interpret texts independently. 9 week program, fixed Activity Room B Jan. 30 to Mar. 19 Tuesdays, 6:30 - 8 p.m. Italian for Beginners Literacy/Languages Olga Rubino Italian for Beginners is an introductory course that teaches students basic vocabulary, phrases, and grammar. It is designed for those who have little or no previous knowledge of the Italian language. Students will also learn about the landscape and culture of Italy. 10 week program, fixed Zoom Jan. 16 to Mar. 19 Tuesdays, 10 - 11 a.m.
