Writing Fiction
Creative Arts/Creative Writing
Gail Benick
Writers are often advised to write what they
know, but how do you use your life experience as
a source for writing fiction? This 4-week course
will focus on developing fictional stories based
on people, places and events that are meaningful
to paticipants. Participants will brainstorm story
ideas, write the first draft of their story, receive
feedback from the instructor and peers, then
revise the story, incorporating what they have
learned.
