22 Pet Therapy: Fynn the Golden Soul & Mind/Mindfulness Stephen Silverhart Spiritual Connections Soul & Mind/Spirituality Jayden Seigel Fynn is 11 years old and Stephen is his handler. Fynn is a certified therapy dog with St. John's Ambulance. Stephen is a semi-retired airport and aviation consultant. Stephen and Fynn's journey with Baycrest started in 2017 when they began weekly visits to the Apotex Centre, Jewish Home for the Aged and alternating visits with Baycrest Hospital. If you love dogs, come out and meet Fynn. This program is tailor-made for individuals seeking to explore their inner selves, connect with others, and find solace and fulfillment through spiritual exploration. From presentations to interactive group discussions, meditation and reflection sessions to story-telling activities, each program will cater to the diverse needs and interests of all participants. Discover the power of meditation, mindfulness, and creative expression as tools to manage stress, alleviate anxiety, and cultivate inner peace. Karen Fox Wisdom of Folktales (Baycrest@Home) Soul & Mind/Virtual Rabbi Rena Arshinoff Bible Study will consist of exploring topics of interest to students. Discussion will be open and interactive, seeking to draw out particiants' understanding of a passage given their unique perspective and life experience, as well as reflect on how our viewpoints change throughout our lives. In this way, we expand our view of self and others. Jewish folktales have messages that resonate in our life today. This program is facilitated by spiritual care leaders with the goal of drawing out the wisdom found in traditional folktales and making it relevant in daily life. The format will be the retelling of a story, in a digestible narrative followed by group discussion. This is a highly participatory program, with the aim of exploring your strengths and examples of overcoming challenges to highlight places to draw inner strength from.
