6 Drawing with Coloured Pencils: Lessons for Beginners Painting & Colouring/Painting Elaine Sugar 7 week program, fixed Creative Arts Studio Feb. 14 to Mar. 20 Wednesdays, 2 - 4 p.m. Learn professional techniques for creating beautiful coloured pencil drawings. Topics include: pencil application, layering, colour theory, and composition. Whatever other medium you enjoy, you'll find coloured pencil a worthwhile addition to your repertoire. Block Printing on Fabric Printed Textiles/Workshop Sarah Aranha 3 week program, fixed Creative Arts Studio Feb. 6 to Feb. 27 Thursdays, 5 - 7 p.m. Learn how to carve and print your own block printed fabric. Understand block printing as a craft and the basics of the printing process. You will learn how to design and carve your block, set up a printing area, and make prints. Take home your hand-printed item, and carved blocks to continue to experiment on your own. Open to all skill levels, no previous experience necessary. Printmaking Explorations: Linocut Printed Textiles/Workshop Phoebe Todd-Parrish One-time workshop Creative Arts Studio Feb. 9 Friday, 1 - 4 p.m. In this course, you will learn how to design, transfer, carve, and print a small linoleum block print onto paper to create an edition of identical handmade prints. Meaningful Arts Making Mixed Media/Class Series Perri Bender 6 week program, flex Creative Arts Studio Feb. 7 to Mar. 13 Wednesdays, 10 - 11:30 a.m. This course will explore making meaningful arts and crafts through various mixed media including acrylics, collage, and crafts.
