17 Family History: Research for Beginners Class Series/Geneology Janice Nickerson This four-part workshop is for people who want to learn more about the history of their family. Participants will learn the basic techniques and sources they can use to trace their family trees. To get the most of our this workshop, participants should be prepared to spend time researching and working on their own between sessions. The Creative Process in Fashion Class Series/Fashion Design Joeffer Caoc This introductory course will explore how to transform initial ideas into the final design of a fashion outfit. Participants will learn how to create a design journal that includes finding inspiration, researching trends, fashion past and present, fabrics and colors, storyboards, and the process of garment design and creation. In doing so, the course will explore the role of digital tools in preserving dress materials found in archives, collections, and museum spaces.
