6 BAYCREST | 2024 Knowledge centres drive us toward a brighter future HEALTH ASSESSMENTS Baycrest is the developer of Cogniciti, which offers an online assessment tool for anyone who worries about their memory. RESEARCH PLANNING The Kunin-Lunenfeld Centre for Applied Research & Evaluation helps scientists and clinicians plan, design, and analyze their research projects. RESEARCH AND EDUCATION Baycrest Academy for Research and Education brings together research from the Rotman Research Institute and education from the Centre for Education & Knowledge Exchange in Aging. Working together for greater impact. FUNDING NEW TECHNOLOGIES Centre for Aging + Brain Health Innovation (CABHI) funds and supports entrepreneurs and healthcare staff who develop new technologies that improve the lives of seniors. INNOVATIONS FOR BETTER CARE The Baycrest Innovation Office (BIO) is where staff and healthcare industry people turn when they need help to advance their innovations. BIO assesses new technology and supports its development. DEFEATING DEMENTIA Baycrest is the scientific headquarters for the Canadian Consortium on Neurodegeneration in Aging (CCNA), which connects more than 300 scientists across Canada working to detect, prevent and treat dementia. TRAINING THE NEXT GENERATION The Research Training Centre provides world-class training to the next generation of healthcare leaders. It trains more than 100 students and staff per year and promotes research excellence. GLOBAL SUPPORT Baycrest Global Solutions advises governments on care policies for seniors, helps develop care programs, and trains caregivers around the globe.
