18 Nia Dance Date(s) Day Time Sessions Sept 4 Wed 10:30 - 11:15 a.m. Weekly, flex to Dec 18 Nia blends the joy of dance, discipline of martial arts, mindfulness of somatics, and universal spiritual principles to create transformational experiences. Nia workouts combine martial arts, dance, pilates and yoga to support physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health. Wellness 101 Mindfulness Meditation Learn diaphragmatic breathing techniques in tandem with observing our thoughts to calm our racing minds. This is a great class for those looking to build their meditation practice and reap the many benefits - mentally, emotionally, and physically. Date(s) Day Time Sessions Sept 9 Mon 1 - 2 p.m. 6 weeks, flex to Oct 21 (excl. Oct 14) Join us for an immersive experience in counselling and psychotherapy. These unique sessions are designed to inspire personal growth, boost emotional wellbeing, and foster a sense of community. Participants will engage in a variety of therapeutic activities, including: mindfulness exercises, creative expression, group discussions, peer support, and stress management techniques. Easing Trauma & Restoring Aliveness Through Expressive Arts Date(s) Day Time Sessions Oct 28 Mon 1 - 2:30 p.m. 5 weeks, flex to Nov 25 In this series, we will learn about trauma and the ways in which our nervous system becomes activated to protect us during stressful events. Explore practices to ease overactive nervous system responses through body-based expressive arts. Workshop activities will be experiential, with a combination of lecture, group discussion, reflection, grounding, and various arts practices. No artistic experience is required, only a spark of curiosity to explore our embodied resiliency together.
