KLAERU ENGAGEMENT PROCESS
To get help with a research study from KLAERU, contact the Director of Research Innovation &
Translation (Dr. Lisa Goos; lgoos@baycrest.org) or Senior Project Manager in Research Innovation
& Translation (Dr. Rosanne Aleong; raleong@research.baycrest.org).
An initial project planning meeting will be held to clarify the question of interest, the nature of the
work required, and the support available through KLAERU. Based on this common understanding,
a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) will be drafted between KLAERU and the primary investi-
gator, defining roles, responsibilities, milestones, and relevant costs.
Once all parties approve the MOU, project work is initiated. The KLAERU team and research group
meet weekly for 30 minutes to go over the project status and address ongoing study issues.

Once project work is complete, the KLAERU team will close out the project with a final team meeting/
debriefing and transfer all relevant documents and deliverables to the clinical research team. A
follow-up feedback survey about the KLAERU experience will help us grow and improve in ways
most needed by Baycrest clinical researchers.
