In 2013-14, the RTC designed and executed an ambitious program of events aimed at developing and enhancing trainees' knowledge and skills, as well as facilitating their career trajectories. RTC's key highlights include: • Conducted a 29-week academic lecture series targeted at internal and external stakeholders; • Conducted a six-week career development series targeted at undergraduate trainees across Baycrest; • Conducted 10 academic skill-building workshops led by established scientists and trainees; • Conducted four career development workshops to develop job-market skills and provide networking opportunities. To learn more about RTC visit: baycrest.org/research/research-training-centre RESEARCH TRAINING CENTRE (RTC) LEADERSHIP IN NEUROINFORMATICS Baycrest's neuroinformatics group continues to lead the field and to ensure Baycrest is at the table in significant social endeavours to share information to advance health research. Recent research funding awards included Ontario Brain Institute's (OBI) Brain-CODE project. RRI senior scientist Dr. Stephen Strother is the lead of the neuroinformatics core of the project. The overall project is being led by the Ontario Cancer Biomarker Network, with total funding for the project budgeted at $3.7 million over two years.
