Top-5 countries with the highest number of documents citing the RRI's research The country with the highest number of citing articles citing the RRI's research is the United States that makes up for 48% of the total citing documents. 2 . 1 . 9 S C I ma g o i n st i t u t i o n s r a n k i n g ( S I R ) The impact of the RRI research in cognitive neuroscience can be illustrated using the SCImago Institutions rankings report (SIR) reports. These reports contain a set of bibliometrics indicators that can be used to show the RRI's contributions to the cognitive neuroscience field. Using the bibliometrics developed by SCImago is appropriate since these reports aim to provide an evaluation framework of research performance for all research organizations across the world. The SIR global reports take into account organizations from any country with at least 100 articles published in the last year of the five-year period (SCImago Institutions Ranking website). The RRI is included in four out of the five SIR global reports available, which are: SIR 2013 - Scientific production on the period 2007-2011 SIR 2012 - Scientific production on the period 2006-2010 SIR 2011 - Scientific production on the period 2005-2009 SIR 2009 - Scientific production on the period 2003-2007 The RRI was not mentioned in the SIR 2010 report for the scientific production for the period 2004-2008 since in 2008 the RRI published 91 research articles according to the Scopus database (see Figure 3A). The SCImago bibliometrics that will be used in the present report are output (O), specialization index (Spec.
