Since 1989 the RRI has been hiring scientists with expertise in the cognitive neuroscience field.
Approximately 41 scientists were hired over the past 25 years. Figure 27 shows the hiring trend
for this category. The scientists considered for this category do not include research associates.

Figure 27 shows that the number of scientists hired by the RRI has been decreasing since
1999. Over the past five years only 4 scientists were appointed and this number is the lowest
reported from all the five-year periods studied
