The Poster Day was an event to showcase scholarly and innovative projects from across the organization. It was a celebration of the excellent collaboration between clinical, research and education staff to enhance quality of care and improve clinical and educational outcomes at Baycrest. Anna Berall, Research Coordinator, Program Evaluation Unit felt that "it was a vibrant scientific conference highlighting our work in research, program evaluation, knowledge translation, education, best practices and quality improvement. We wanted to provide an educational opportunity for staff, by staff." The call for submissions was met with an overwhelming response and the event was a resounding success with a total of 60 posters presented by Baycrest staff from across the campus on the areas of program evaluation, education, quality improvement, knowledge translation and best practices. Many staff stopped by throughout the day to learn from the wealth of important work happening at Baycrest. The day also included a well-attended guest presentation by Dr. Katherine McGilton (RN, PhD), Senior Scientist at the Toronto Rehabilitation Institute, University Health Network and Associate Professor, Lawrence S. Bloomberg Faculty of Nursing, University of Toronto entitled "Why not now? A vision for clinical and educational excellence for care of older adults."
