13 RTC Annual Report 2014 - 2015 Experiential Internship Program 1 Building on the 5 - week Career Development Curriculum, the RTC then launc hed a new internship program, aimed at exposing research trainees to diverse vocational domains, allowing them to reframe, adapt, and leverage their existing skills, expanding their network connections, and providing them with mentorship and substantive wo rk experience s . As part of the internship program, trainees could: (1) work with a partner organization on a defined project on a volunteer basis; or (2) apply for prestigious 12 - week, paid internships with specif ic, participating organizations, with finan cial support generously provided by the Mynne & Harold Soupcoff Fund. A competition was conducted for all of the internship opportunities with a formal interview and notification process.
