Rotman Research Institute Summer Student Program &
Summer Rounds Series

The RRI Summer Student Program is a 12 -
week, paid research internship for
undergraduate students to work in the
laboratory of an RRI scientist conducting
active research. Key objectives for the
program include:
providing hands - on research
experience to un dergraduates
providing educational and career
mentorship in cognitive neuroscience
research

expanding trainee research capacity at
the RRI
In 2014, a total of 25 students were selected
to work with 16 participating scientists.
As part of their educationa l experience, a
special 8 - week Summer Rounds Series was
held, focused on providing expert advice
and insight into a career in academia and
research. In 2014, Dr. Signy Sheldon, a
research trainee, developed and
coordinated the rounds series.
