4 In the 2015‐2016 fiscal year, KLAERU supported the development and execuon of 14 applied research projects across 13 Baycrest departments. Amy Davignon, (RN MN GNC, Baycrest Nursing) GERIATRIC PSYCHIATRY: Evaluaon of Remote Home Delivery of Psychogeriatric Care In a collaboraon with Drs. David Myran (Geriatric Psychiatry) and David Conn (Centre for Educaon), and the PEU at Baycrest, the KLAERU team is evaluang the impact of remote home delivery of psychogeriatric care. Telepsychiatry has had an increasingly important role in providing care for older adults with mental health & mobility issues and transportaon problems. INNOVATION & COMMERCIALIZATION: Needs Assessment & Evaluaon of a Cloud‐based Technology for Older Adults The QOCA home project is a CC‐ABHI endeavour, involving a partnership between a Taiwanese computer company, KLAERU, and the Baycrest Innovaon, Technology and Design Lab (ITDL) to refine and test a new cloud‐based technology. The simple tablet‐ like device with a touch‐screen interface will offer services and content specifically for older adults. To date, the KLAERU team has successfully assisted with project management, study design, obtaining REB approval, and facilitated and performed qualitave analyses for focus groups with Baycrest community residents. KLAERU connues to provide support for phase 2 of the study: pilong the device in the Baycrest community. To date, KLAERU has assisted in project management, study design, and has successfully obtained REB approval. In spring 2016, KLAERU started facilitang recruitment of study parcipants for quantave data collecon and analysis.
