6 RTC Annual Report 2015 - 2016 Trainee Awards & Recognitions Ontario Graduate Scholarship (OGS) The OGS program is a merit based scholarship program joint ly funded by the Province of Ontario and participating Ontario universities. The program encourages excellence in graduate studies at the master's and doctoral levels across all disciplines of academic study. This past year, Jessica Arsenault, a RRI PhD ca ndidate, was awarded an OGS scholarship totaling $15,000. Trainees were also recognized with a diverse range of awards from various external organizations including: Other Trainee Recognitions Jessica Arsenault – Albert S . Bregman Student Prize in Psychological Acoustics, Can adian Acoustical Association, $ 500 Jessica Arsenault – Hal Rogers Endowment Fund, Kin Canada , $ 1,000 Lisa Engel – Best PhD Poster Award, Rehabilitation Sciences Institute Research Showcase, University of Toronto Dr. Leon French – Best Poster Award, 2015 World Congress in Psychiatric Genetics Conference Dr. John Griffiths – Hon o rary Associate, School of Physics, University of Sydney Dr. Amanda Lash – CIHR Travel Award , CIHR Institute of Aging, $1 , 000 Dr. Rachel Newsome – Cognitive N europsychology Student Travel Prize for travel to the Cognitive Neuroscie nce Society Conference (NYC), $ 750 USD Dr. Valorie Salimpoor – Reg & Molly Buck Award, Society for Education, Music, and Psychology Research (SEMPRE), £2,500 Awa rdrecipient:LisaEngel Awardrecipient:Dr.LeonFrench
