19 RTC Annual Report 2015 - 2016 Training Partnerships In 2015 - 2016, the RTC p artnered with a variety of internal and external stakeholders to co - develop and deliver educational content (e.g., workshops, conferences) as well as develop and implement experiential opportunities (e.g., internships). Through these relationships, the RTC was able to enhance and expand its training offerings to include new educational domains (e.g., innovation, entrepreneurship, data management) as well as trainee access to diverse experts across the province. Below are highlights of some of the 2015 - 2016 partnerships. In November 2015, Baycrest employees brought their Grade 9 children to work for the day to experienc e a "day in the life" of their parents and learn more about vocational opportunities at Baycrest. As part of the Baycrest "Take Your Kids to Work Day", the RTC assisted in coordinating a tour of research facilities for over 20 visiting students. In March 2016, Grade 12 Neurobiology students from The York School visited the RRI. These young learners received a guided tour of the transcranial magnetic stimulation, magnetoencephalography, and electroencephalography labs, met with Drs. Jed Meltzer and Bernhard Ross, and attended a special presentation from post - doctoral fellow, Dr. Carrie Esopenko, about her concussion - related research. The students immersed themselves at Baycrest for 4 weeks, shadowing clinical staf f, learning about Baycrest best practices in the care of older adults and their families, and exploring research in a geriatric context.
