Research collaborations allow the sharing of ideas, expertise, and resources which maximize the
success of any research project. The RRI is a global leader in cognitive neuroscience and our
researchers maintain collaborations across North and South America, Europe, the Middle East,
and the Asia Pacific region.
Our scientists are leaders in provincial, national, and international research consortia including:
• the Canadian Consortium on Neurodegeneration in Aging, a pan-national network of 350+
clinicians and researchers investigating neurodegenerative diseases
• the Ontario Neurodegenerative Disease Research Initiative, a provincial network of 50+
clinicians and researchers at 13 clinical sites investigating neurodegenerative diseases
• a Canada-USA-France-Germany partnership to develop the first fully functional model of
the human brain (The Virtual Brain)
• a partnership among 20 laboratories in 8 countries to develop a brain analysis protocol
