The gallery expanded in 1989 to become the premier gallery in the financial district's Exchange Tower. Sandra Ainsley Gallery at The Distillery opened November 2002, with over 2000 people in attendance, and pioneered the largest exhibition by Dale Chihuly ever held in a private gallery. In September 2012, Sandra Ainsley Gallery relocated to an industrial warehouse in the Don Valley Parkway and Eglinton Ave area. The gallery works with private collectors, corporate clients, designers and architects in placing major pieces and installations as well as more intimate sculpture. After over twenty five years in business Sandra has become an integral part of the international glass community. She has established herself as one of the leading dealer of contemporary glass in world. ANDA KUBIS Anda Kubis is the Associate Dean of Outreach and Innovation in the Faculty of Art at OCAD University. In this role she manages and develops the many external relationships that support rich opportunities for students and faculty members in the Faculty of Art. With degrees from Nova Scotia College of Art and Design and York University, Kubis is a recognized abstract painter that works in expanded digital, material, and traditional processes. Due to the prominence of colour in her work, Kubis' research considers how a conscious engagement with aesthetics and creativity positively impact human flourishing and quality of life. Kubis is represented in Canada by p|m Gallery in Toronto, Newzones Gallery of Contemporary Art in Calgary, Elissa Cristall Gallery in Vancouver, and in Sweden by Galleri Tapper- Popermajer. Numerous public and private collections have acquired her work including, RBC: Royal Bank of Canada, TD Bank, BMO Bank of Montreal, Cenovus Energy, Aimia, and the Canadian Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development. CLARA HALPERN Clara Halpern is a Canadian curator and writer. She is currently the RBC Curatorial Fellow at The Power Plant. Her recent curatorial projects include Tongue Stones at Pioneer Works (Brooklyn), Geometries of Intimacy, co-curated with Jessica Wilcox, at Abrons Arts Center (New York), and the time-based curatorial platform The Center for Short-lived Phenomena. Clara has been a regular contributor to Modern Painters and was formerly a Critical Writing Fellow at Recess (New York) and a Student Researcher at The Centre for Possible Studies, Serpentine Gallery (London). She was part of the team for Sarah Sze's project Triple Point at the U.S. Pavilion of the 2013 Venice Biennale and co- curated the education program for Frieze New York 2014. Clara received an MA from the Center for Curatorial Studies at Bard College in 2012. ANN PRIFTIS Ann Priftis is an independent art consultant, appraiser and strategic adviser to the arts. Her expertise includes art gallery and collection management, programming, development and brand alignment. For the past nine years, she has operated Clark Priftis Art. She has exhibited and consulted at major international art fairs, and works with corporations to build and manage their collections. In 2013, Ann was hired as the head of art to secure leading artists for the Faberge Big Egg Hunt, a public art exhibit in New York City that generated $2.6M in auction proceeds for charity. In 2011, she was named executive director of Defy Ventures, which harnesses the talents of formerly incarcerated individuals and helps them to become successful entrepreneurs. Ann holds a BA in Art History from University of Maryland, College Park and a Certificate in Fine and Decorative Arts Appraisal from George Washington University.
