12 T H E B R A I N P R O J E C T 2 0 1 6 T H E C O M M I T T E E ERICA AND NOAH GODFREY CO-CHAIRS, THE BRAIN PROJECT JESSICA AND BEN MULRONEY CO-CHAIRS, THE BRAIN PROJECT During a visit to New York City, Erica and Noah Godfrey were captivated by the incredible artwork displayed as part of the Fabergé Big Egg Hunt. This sparked the idea of developing something equally impactful right here in Toronto – an open air public art installation that would not only add interest to Toronto's cityscape, but also support a great cause. Three of Noah's grandparents lived at Baycrest and since Erica is an acting board member of the foundation, Baycrest seemed a natural fit when identifying a great partner organization. Together with close friends Jessica and Ben Mulroney, the foursome hatched a plan to marry creative arts and an initiative to support brain health. From here, The Brain Project was born. As parents, the co-chairs understand the benefits of art and other brain stimulation for their kids. They are also aware of the growing population of seniors and how age-related dementias can cruelly steal years of family memories and the ability to live independently. It's time to do something about it.
