The Ontario College of Art and Design University's Prototype Holographics for Art & Science Explorations (PHASE) Lab recently completed a project funded by the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada in collaboration with Cerebral Diagnostics in Toronto. The project involved the translation of electroencephalogram (EEG) data of the human brain into a holographic form. Marcus A. Gordon, artist and designer, translated the data and Natalie Logan, holography artist and research assistant in the PHASE Lab, produced a digital hologram. This clear acrylic brain sculpture is a juxtaposition of the hologram. HOLOMENTIS Marcus Gordon for OCAD T H E B R A I N P R O J E C T 2 0 1 6 45
