VOLUNTEER SERVICES
Volunteers are an integral part of the organization and
are involved in virtually every area across our campus.
Assignments are diverse and reflect the various skills
and talents of our volunteers.
Approximately 2,000 volunteers aged 13 to 95 give
their time and expertise to Baycrest every year. Younger
volunteers – age 12 and under – must be accompanied by
a parent or guardian.
The training process includes a three-hour orientation.
Some volunteers spend time socializing with clients while
they await their appointments, others provide eating
assistance, participate in art, music and recreational
activities and even act in simulation projects for training
healthcare workers.
