GARDENS
Baycrest is fortunate to be situated on
23 acres of land in north Toronto. Our
green space, numerous gardens and
a beautiful meandering walking path
between buildings provide residents,
patients and their families with the
opportunity to enjoy the beauty of
nature.
Generous donors provide support
for many of the gardens at Baycrest,
including the greenhouse at the
Joseph E. and Minnie Wagman Centre,
a rooftop garden at the hospital and
various courtyard gardens.
Gardening clubs have sprouted in the
adult day programs, the hospital and
the Apotex Centre, Jewish Home for
the Aged.
The rooftop Spiro Family Garden is
an outdoor sanctuary on the second
floor between the hospital and the
Posluns building. Like the other
gardens at Baycrest, it is a place where
staff members can visit or gather
their thoughts between meetings and
appointments, and patients can enjoy
some respite between treatments.
