CURIOUS AND CONNECTED: SHARING IDEAS
AND EXPERTISE
The Rotman Research Institute is a global leader in cognitive
neuroscience and our researchers maintain collaborations
across North and South America, Europe, the Middle East and
the Asia Pacific region. Forty-two percent of our publications
are co-authored with institutions in other countries.
Our scientists are leaders in provincial, national and
international research consortia including
• The Canadian Consortium on Neurodegeneration in Aging
• The Ontario Neurodegenerative Disease Research Initiative
• A Canada-USA-France-German partnership to develop The
Virtual Brain
• A partnership among 20 laboratories in 8 countries to
develop a brain analysis protocol
These networks and collaborations mean that our experts
are disseminating their findings to other researchers and
clinicians around the globe, and their own studies are
informed by the research of others in their fields. Through
this exchange of knowledge, we are accelerating the pace of
research to find treatments to improve brain health and aging.
