TAR EK AM ER , 20 1 6 -20 1 7 R R I AC AD EM I C R O U N DS CO O R D I NATO R & R R I P H D S T U D ENT Research Education The RRI Academic Rounds series serves as an educational forum in which trainees can keep abreast of cutting-edge research in the field, interact with world-class leaders in neuroscience, discuss their current work, solicit feedback from their peers, and strengthen their presentation skills. In 2016-2017, Tarek Amer (Grady & Hasher Labs) and Dr. Nasim Shams (Strother Lab) served as the RRI Academic Rounds coordinators and organized the 26-week series, bringing together world-class speakers internal and external to Baycrest and stimulating new collaborations.
