T H E B R A I N P R O J E C T 2 0 1 7 104 Born in Greece in 1961, prolific and creative Canadian artist Peter Triantos lives and works in Toronto where his work is featured in many of his galleries. He has successfully represented himself while further devel- oping his astonishing artistic styles. Fascinated with sculpture and old master paintings as an avid collector himself, he projects his own unique vision through abstract expressionism. Beyond the limits of the large scale canvas and exploration of vivid colour, his work conveys emotion and energy of human nature through his gestural brushstrokes, bold style and thick impasto blended into his signature diverse style naturally. Triantos chose the 'Jelly Beans' series because of its simplicity. The colours represent positive vibrant energy, and Triantos believes that the TELUS Health Brain Project represents this same kind of energy as artists come together in support of a great cause.
