Charmaine Lurch is an interdisciplinary visual artist and
an award-winning arts educator.
Employing painterly and sculptural techniques, she
creates works that focus on social justice and environ-
mental issues.
This sculpture, Cognectica, addresses pathways and
connectivity—how we build and expand our brains
through our encounters with each other. These
connections—both physical and emotional—create a topography that maps
our way of being in the world.
