Inspired Aging Our Strategic Plan and Vision Baycrest is proud to present Inspired Aging, our Strategic Plan for the next five years. Our Strategic Plan links every part of our organization to a common set of goals, which are guided by shared values and a new vision for the future. Our Inspired Aging plan stems from a simple intention: to do meaningful work that will make a difference in a person's life. This intention is what connects us as a group and what connects us to this Strategic Plan. If the ideas in the Strategic Plan seem familiar, it is because they are. They came from you. Starting in the fall of 2017, we launched a broad engagement process with a full spectrum of our community. We interviewed partner organizations across the health system and our communities as part of an in-depth analysis of Baycrest's environment. We held sessions with more than 600 people throughout Baycrest including residents, clients, families, staff across all programs and services, researchers, volunteers, clinicians and donors. We would like to thank everyone who helped to shape the Strategic Plan. It draws its strength from the people who inspire and challenge us to deliver our best every day. And it will help to mobilize our organization as we move confidently into a new period of tremendous growth. After years of building a sturdy foundation, Baycrest is now poised to expand our services for clients on campus and in the surrounding community, meeting more needs through new models of care, and seeing major research and education collaborations come to fruition. The focal point of our Inspired Aging plan is our new Vision Statement – an expression of our shared purpose and what we aspire to achieve as an organization. For the last 100 years, Baycrest has maintained a tradition of improving the well-being of people in our local community and around the world by bringing together care, research and education. Innovation – or the pursuit of better solutions – is at the core of Baycrest's identity. As our clients' and communities' needs changed, we've changed with them, building a long-term care home, a hospital, residences for independent living, and research programs that are recognized for breakthroughs in brain health. A world where every older adult enjoys a life of purpose, inspiration and fulfilment OUR vision 1
