Baycrest is currently pursuing some of the largest infrastructure
projects in the organization's recent history. With the support
of government partners and generous donors, we are
continuing to take on modern, efficient and effective projects
to meet the current and future needs of our clients, staff,
volunteers and community.
As the infrastructure plans continue to take shape over the
coming weeks and months, Baycrest's Redevelopment and
Support Services department will share detailed updates about
upcoming projects and how they will impact and improve care,
education, innovation and research.
Here's a look at what's to come over the next year:
Following nearly five years of
planning and fundraising and a few
months of construction, the new
Alpha Omega Dental Centre for
Geriatric Care at Baycrest opened
its doors to clients for the first time
this spring.
With more than $1.5 million in
donations from the Toronto
Chapter of the Alpha Omega Dental
Fraternity, this state-of-the-art
centre is a treatment, training,
resource, and research facility for
the dental care of older adults.
Specializing in care for people who
have complex medical conditions,
frailty, physical challenges or
cognitive difficulties such as
dementia, this new facility is
Canada's preeminent dental centre
for older adults.
